| Our Inn is a handsome colonial structure dating back to 1894. The mansion was built by Joseph Courtemanche, a local blacksmith and carriagemaker who made his fortune as the visionary who built the first electric power plant in the valley. (A local story has it that Mr. Courtemanche, feeling that "early to bed, early to rise" was a sound idea, used to turn off the power plant at precisely 10 PM... leaving everyone in the village with no choice but to go to bed early!) The main house has tall ceilings and a lovely living room with fireplace and conversation areas. Off of the living room is the Cocktail Bar with its original tin ceiling, the Morrow Cartoon room and the Restaurant which is open to Inn guests and the public for Dinner on Thursday thru Sunday | |||
