| Description | The topography of this scenic 7,000-acre cattle ranch is diverse. The rugged and steep escarpment known as the “Caprock” traverses the ranch, and separates the 5,000-feet elevation “top country”, part of the Llano Estacado or “Staked Plains”, from the valley below. The JX Ranch is owned and operated by us, Tom and Mimi Sidwell. We raise around 150 Texas Longhorn cows, and sell natural beef to individuals as well as to cattle buyers. The ranch is also home to mule deer, pronghorn antelope, eagles, the occasional mountain lion and many other wildlife species. In the summer months we take in up to 4 guests coming from all over the world to experience the day-to-day life on a cattle ranch. | ||||
